Eleanor is a London-based costumier specialising in hand embroidery, lacemaking, and embellishment. With a deep knowledge of textile and costume history and construction, she confidently implements historic and couture techniques with contemporary design practice and experimental materials. An extensive experience of different lacemaking practices allows the creation of historically accurate and diverse contemporary pieces of work. Using her varied work experience placements - from bridal, to conservation, to burlesque performance wear – and her wide-ranging knowledge of textile techniques she is always ready to approach ideas from a fresh perspective.
